Despite the continued spreading urbanisation of the Vliet region - the work area of Spirit Vastgoed - there are still beautiful places, rich in nature and history!

De Drie Molens
The three-stage windmills make a gorgeous and typical Dutch picture. On Molenvaart, near Stompwijkse Verlaat, stand three polder windmills (all are the so-called grondzeilers), built to drain Nieuwe Driemanspolder. From north to south they are Bovenmolen, Middelmolen (both completed in 1672) and Ondermolen (1903).

Vlietland
Vlietland, created by sand mining, is a nature and recreation area with various interesting nature terrains rich in bird life. The heart of Vlietland is a large pond measuring about 150 hectares (about 371 acres)

Salamander
The Salamander is a smock mill, built in 1792 as a sawmill. It is situated in Leidschendam, on the Vliet, near to the Damcentrum. As early as 1643 there was a near to the Dam, due to the many construction projects and other businesses in the neighbourhood.

Duivenvoorde
Duivenvoorde castle lies on the border of Voorschoten.it is unique because since the first mention of it in 1226, it has never been sold, but has always been passed on to its owners as inheritance. The castle is a museum accessible to the public and one can enjoy a pleasant walk in the surrounding park. For more information in Dutch see: www.kasteelduivenvoorde.nl
